nky.com | Taxpayer group urges Ky. to release pension info
The group’s vice president, Christina Tobin, said Kentucky is one of only a few states that don’t disclose pension payments, even though it freely discloses wages of employees.
Tobin said Kentuckians have a right to know how much money retirees are getting. She said she will deliver a letter to Beshear on Monday asking him to release pension information. The group also has scheduled a news conference at the Capitol.
Tobin said Kentucky is one of the nation’s most secretive states when it comes to pension payments to retirees that can total in the millions of dollars for some over the course of their retirements.
